Burren Fishing Trips

May-September Annually

The Burren’s unique limestone landscape is home to crystal-clear lakes and rivers teeming with wild brown trout. These spring-fed waters, nestled in an otherworldly terrain of rocky plateaus and lush valleys, offer both a scenic and rewarding fly fishing experience. Guided by a local expert, you’ll discover hidden fishing spots and learn the art of reading these pristine waters. The Burren also provides the perfect backdrop for relaxation between casts, with its quiet beauty and abundance of natural attractions including the Cliffs of Moher.

I am currently offer day and 1/2 day guided flyfishing adventures for the River Fergus Co. Clare, and fisheries of West Clare. These are both wild brown & seatrout fisheries. The Co, Clare rivers are creek size and a weight 4 rod is the perfect tool. Dry flies are trout’s favourite in size 16 from May – September.

Booking And Cancellation T&Cs

Deposit And Refunds

  • A 25% deposit is to be paid upon booking (non-refundable)
  • The 75% balance is due at the 8 weeks before arrival.
  • If a guest cancels and can’t make the trip for a legitimate reason up to 5 days before the start date, we can provide a refund of up to 50%

Health And Safety

Guests should be of reasonable fitness for a full day’s fishing. For health and safety reasons, please ensure you make me aware of any health issues or conditions you have before we go fishing.

Travel & Transport

Flyfishing in the Burren operates on the basis of guests providing their own transportation, usually car rental. However, I can arrange transportation for you based on your requirements, this is an added cost. Please reach out to discuss and we can come up with the best solution for you.
