Flyfishing Information & Booking
We specialise in guided flyfishing for wild, brown trout and sea trout. Dry fly fishing on limestone streams, loch-style, wet fly fishing on local lakes, and magical sea trout adventures.
Wild Brown Trout
Flyfishing trips are tailored to your needs.
Guiding is centred primarily around the Burren and West Clare regions.
The flyfishing in the Burren is based around the river system of the Fergus which is a limestone river / stream. It flows through a series of clear lakes in the region. It is lightly fished, normally you will have it to yourself. Fishing here is for wild, brown trout; they can vary from 1/2 lb up to 3 lbs. They are very beautiful and wily – stealth is key!
Sea Trout Fishing
Flyfishing for Sea trout is based around West Clare (Doonbeg), although there are plenty of small, wild browns to chase if you so wish. The streams & rivers of West Clare meet the Atlantic around sandy beaches and rocky coves. It is from here and the slow pools & falls upstream where we meet sea trout in the summer months May – September. Fishing is mostly by traditional wet-fly methods from evening until nightfall. Although dry fly and nymph can produce fish.
